Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The Volume 'Corporate collections in Italy, from research to practice' aims to take stock of the situation of collecting and corporate museums, starting from the results of the research on 160 Italian corporate collections carried out in 2016 by the University Cattolica with AXA ART and Banca Intesa and offering readers a complete update, both quantitative and qualitative. In the volume, in fact, the first chapters are dedicated to the enrichment of the data proposed in 2016, to answer some questions concerning the relationship between the collections and the economic, but above all social performance of the company. To this update of the database and the related considerations, other additions are added, in the direction of a further clarification linked to how the management of the collection is articulated in different ways in different organizational contexts (from the private company, to the foundation for example), to the relationship between the company and artists, to the method of acquiring works and to the new professional profiles that the development of business collecting makes necessary.
