Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] This work focuses on Muslim communities in Lombardy, the region of the oldest and most numerous immigration in Italy. In addition to describing the consistency of the Muslim communities in this region, the issue of the recognition of connected places of worship, the internal organization and activities of the centres, their insertion and the relationships established at a local level are addressed, to finally take into consideration the role of young people and the possible future of communities. By examining what happens in the daily lives of local realities and territories, the rooting of Islam in this region is illustrated
together with the transformations that affect this community of believers, in an attempt to identify the qualifying traits of the specificities of Lombardy Islam.
