Abstract
The volume aim is to present the first research at national level on families communities, giving special attention, from a sociological point of view, to the family changing process Italy is facing today.
The main questions this research is trying to answer are: Is it possible to recognize, in families communities, each family “genome”? How does community influence the family identity? What type of “social capital” is the community estabilishing and generating?
The volume first analyses and describes the distinctive characteristics of communities contexts, considering different issues: the specific aspects of being a family, the couple relationship, the care of the bond among generations, the specific aspects of community identity and the social capital produced by the community, the connection existing between families communities and good practices regarding children and adolescents.
