Le competenze interculturali nel lavoro educativo

[Autom. eng. transl.] Within educational contexts that are characterized by the growing plurality of ethnic and cultural affiliations, it is necessary to develop intercultural competences that allow for recognizing and enhancing differences, reducing prejudices, and building shared horizons (Santerini, 2003; Edelstein, 2011; Cohén-Emerique, 2011; Harper, 2006), as also highlighted in a recent work by this research group (Reggio, Santerini, 2014). The question appears broader: today pluralism is the challenge that the presence of people belonging to so many different ethnic groups makes visible and helps to reread what services for years have struggled to see, but that was being born and taking shape. The pluralities that characterize coexistence today are not only ethnic and cultural, but also political, social, religious, ethical, educational, generational, professional.
