Le carte che fanno scuola: il patrimonio storico-educativo a servizio della didattica nell’esperienza dell’Archivio di Stato di Piacenza

[Autom. eng. transl.] Since the seventies of the last century, the State Archives of Piacenza have been involved in the elaboration of an educational proposal for schools of all levels in the area. If initially the students were approached to documentary material to understand its historical value and the cultural importance of a suitable conservation of the same, since the 2000s the transition from a didactics in the archive to a didactics of the archive has been promoted. This has led to greater involvement of both the learners, who have become protagonists in the construction of the knowledge generated by the encounter with historical sources, and the teachers, increasingly empowered alongside the archivists in the definition and implementation of the training proposal. This renewal has resulted in various initiatives, many of which concerned the historical and educational heritage of the Archive. For example, we recall the "Born and abandoned" workshop, in which the students dealt with the nineteenth-century documents of the Piacenza orphanage, and the one entitled "A school of propaganda", which allowed children to enter the books of the Didactic and didactic museum of the Archive to deepen the mechanisms of propaganda at school from the Great War to the Fascist period. The contribution aims to illustrate these and other training proposals, also taking into account the historical-educational documentary collections preserved in the Archive.
