Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Church libraries are part of the cultural heritage of religious interest. In addition to specifying its legal status both in the canonical and in the state order, the essay reconstructs and analyzes the numerous regional legislation developed starting from the implementation of Italian regionalism by virtue of the competence that art. 117 of the Constitution attributed to the regional legislator. There are many peculiarities that are revealed, including the presence of agreements between regions and regional episcopal conferences that anticipate the design proposed by art. 12 of the Agreement to modify the Lateran Concordat signed between Italy and the Holy See in 1984.
