[Autom. eng. transl.] Social work has to do with the re-organization of people's lives and is therefore burdened with special difficulties, both epistemological and operational. These difficulties remain insurmountable if the social professional operates within typical positivistic paradigms of the medical model. Instead, they become overcome when the operator receives a conception of professional action according to which it is not a matter of solving problems directly, but of acting through the facilitation of others' actions.
