Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The purpose of community work - or community work - is to improve the living conditions of people belonging to a given community by involving them directly in the resolution of their problems. Community work is a strongly relational process because it catalyzes a coagulation of relationships that move in a tight direction towards the joint aim of improving the living conditions of the community to which they belong. It is the community operator who will act as the 'engine' of the project, assuming the function of relational guidance, an essential characteristic of community work understood in a relational sense. Driving relationships means not so much conducting them in a predefined solution path as favoring an open path, in which the facilitator - person who acts as a relational guide - helps people to participate, to keep in mind the joint purpose, which their action shares, and to move easily to achieve it.
