Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] In the context of the economic crisis and the dramatic effects it has brought about, Work still focuses in particular on the case of those workers over fifty who, under the pressure of an increasingly competitive and limited labor market, are more exposed to the risks of general unemployment . Rejecting a passively assistentialist perspective, the volume proposes a regenerative approach capable of progressively accompanying the subject from a dimension of non-work to a leading role and actor of his own change, through motivational practices, updating and increasing skills. A path that combines theoretical and methodological depth with a pragmatic vision, thanks also to the numerous direct testimonies of those who, with difficulty but with tenacity, have been able to respond to the impact of the crisis. Beyond any political rhetoric, the volume restores an authentic dimension to the theme of work: not only economic necessity but an existential need, in which to find one's own realization.
