Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The issue of evaluation has always been a central aspect of social work with families. It is a thorny task, which on the one hand requires sophisticated technical skills from the operators and on the other generates anxiety and concern in the people undergoing assessment. Given this complexity, what does it mean to evaluate parenting skills and the needs of families? What are the contents of the evaluation and what are the possible tools available to operators, in particular social workers? How can we combine family participation and involvement with assessment requirements? Through the lens of the relational method, the volume, accompanied by practical examples and excerpts of interviews, therefore intends to define the contexts and main contents of the evaluation and provides a detailed description of the operational tools for assessment.
