Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Negative judgments on art are weighed down by some philosophers, starting from Plato and ending with Carnap, who with different motivations denied that art can be considered a form of knowledge. On the other hand, there has been no shortage of philosophers, such as Cassirer, Nelson Goodman or Feyerabend, who, on the contrary, have valorized art, precisely underlining its cognitive value, which is obviously different from science, as it does not intend to faithfully reflect a reality objective, but rather to organize the heterogeneous and different elements that are given to our experience into an understandable and coherent image, bringing out the contingency that runs through human existence and which in art takes on a universal trait.
