Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] With regard to the development of Milanese architecture between the end of the Sixteenth and the early Seventeenth centuries, the role of Federico Borromeo was examined by examining some specific themes: the ecclesiastical formation of Borromeo; the legacy of Carlo and Pellegrino Tibaldi; the academic horizon; the architects and attorneys active in those years
