Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Starting from the premises of the political elections of 1904-05 and 1909, the essay presents the application of the Gentiloni Pact in Bergamo by the Third Section, in charge of organizing the electoral movement. Interpreted by the local Diocesan Directorate as an opportunity to shift the balance within the Provincial Deputation, with the replacement of liberal components and the creation of a strong Catholic political representation, this design was hampered by the intransigent component of Bergamo Catholicism up until the framework by the Holy See, fearful of a possible parliamentary maturation of a strong Catholic group, of the Catholic electoral organization.
