Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] One of the main consequences of the new land race on the African continent concerns migration to and from Africa. Land grabbing constitutes, on the one hand, a threat to local populations who are forced to leave their lands and migrate to cities or to richer countries in search of work and a better future; on the other, an opportunity for workers in investor states who find jobs in new economic activities on African soil.
