Abstract
Set in Ivrea in the second half of the Fifties, "L'amore mio italiano" by Giancarlo Buzzi is a reflection on the welfare society and its promises of happiness in the contest of the "miracolo italiano". The novel has a strong utopian dimension, filtered through the eyes of an intellectual employed by a major industry.
