Abstract

The recognition of the educational and evocative power of beauty is configured as an ever more pressing urgency within the current situation, often crushed by frenzy and complexity that subtract times and ways suitable for the construction and re-appropriation of the self. Aesthetic value and educational reflection share the same drive to consider the generative power of beauty, which is reflected in the amazement and wonder that is also cultivated through an education of the gaze. The aesthetic beauty in the reception phase helps to generate a habitat, physical and human, alleviating anxieties and fears of the person-patient. An emblematic example of the application of art as a generative relief, as well as a fertile ground for experimentation with an integral approach towards the person-patient, is 'Gemelli ART' the Radiotherapy Center of Gemelli Polyclinic.
