Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The contrast and the prevention of bullying between schoolchildren require a thorough knowledge of the roots and causes of violent behavior, the recognition of the specificity of the phenomenon with respect to other forms of aggression and the use of techniques specifically developed by psychological research. Bullying, in fact, is not reducible to the overbearing conduct of a single student but presents a multidimensional and relational configuration, such as to involve all the students of the class group within the dynamics of prevarication. Even through an adequate set of educational activities, however, it is possible to combat and prevent the occurrence of episodes of overwhelm among pupils. In this perspective and in the light of the conclusions reached by scientific research, the volume is addressed to teachers of compulsory education and analyzes the problem of bullying, distinguishing it from the generically aggressive conduct, considering its peculiarities and more characteristic dimensions and presenting tools of detection, formulas and operational ideas for the educational action of prevention and contrast.
