Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay reconstructs the debates and experiences of Italian mountaineering in relation to the development of climbing techniques that led to the overcoming of the 6th grade, considering in particular the figure of the most committed mountaineer theorist of that time, Domenico Rudatis, inclined to affirm the "sporting" and "philosophical" value of overcoming the human mountain ascent limit. This considered in relation to the political framework of fascism in the 1930s.
