Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The present paper intends to focus on the relationship between parents and children during a phase that is not too explored in the life cycle, the school age. Starting from a brief description of the socio-cultural scenario in which parenthood is inscribed, the main challenges of being parents are outlined, but also the resources parents can rely on to cope with this transition and promote growth of the young generations. The psychosocial literature has in this regard highlighted the key role played by the parental alliance. Starting from this perspective, a research is presented in order to deepen the study of family relationships and well-being in families with children of school age, focusing on the role played by the parental alliance in the interweaving with the couple relationship and with the parents relationship -sons. A questionnaire was administered to 102 couples of parents with children aged between 6 and 11 years. Particular attention is paid to possible operational implications and family enrichment interventions.
