Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] This is the commented edition of the GC Becelli comedy based on the fifth novel of the fifth day of Boccaccio's Decameron. Particular attention to the use of language, which reflects the questions faced by the author in his theoretical writings: legitimacy and effectiveness of the language of use even in cohabitation with the literary language; primacy (or less) of the Florentine than the other dialects; weight of the literary tradition of the fourteenth century on subsequent production; aspiration for a renewal of the comedy genre
