Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution takes into consideration the image of Egypt that emerges in some works by Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, in particular in "Mafarka il futurista". For Marinetti, Africa is synonymous with primitive life-giving force, necessary to give birth to the new futurist man, and at the same time teaches us to overcome death, as will be evident also in the work "The charm of Egypt" (1933).
