Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Analysis of an emblematic case of the excavation of an irrigation ditch in the territory of the Novara heath, which allowed to water the meadows in a dry area of the middle plain and to obtain hay in abundance, such as to cancel the breeding of cattle through transhumance. increase in livestock favored the use of leather and its tanning, up to obtaining a high production of leather, leather, and therefore of shoes, saddles, bags.
