Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay reconstructs, analyzing documents produced during the fascist regime by institutional bodies such as the Minculpop, the Ministry of the Interior and Eiar, the repressive action that the censorship exercised on music and songs of the time, often considered in contrast with the 'dominant and seriously damaging ideology of the national image, highlighting in particular how the final outcomes of these claims of control were not those hoped for, both because of the organizational incapacity of the supervisory authorities, and because of the inherent spontaneity of expressions of popular culture that are difficult to compress through rules and laws.
