Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The software, synthetically understood as a sequence of computer instructions to perform functions on hardware devices, is part of the intangible assets and, due to its pervasiveness in everyday life, presents a tool that cannot be renounced for any user. Very complex legal problems arise, summarized here, and also sophisticated methods of economic evaluation, also for the purpose of estimating the damage caused by counterfeiting, in an evolutionary scenario characterized by strong technological discontinuities.
