Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The recent financial crisis has highlighted how the banking system tends to pay excessive attention to short-term results to the detriment of the long-term sustainability of the system and the contribution to society. This situation has inspired the emergence of alternative forms of financial intermediation, such as ethical banks. The organizations in question intentionally intend to operate in the financial sector, ensuring the generation of a significant value also for the benefit of the community, making passion for the common good one of the cornerstones of its business.
