Abstract
DeepTech technologies, typically incorporated in innovative StartUps, require greater investments
than traditional technologies, but promise innovative and more effective solutions, with
a disruptive impact that changes traditional patterns, imposing new standards. The evaluation
profiles, focused on know-how, patents or other intangibles (artificial intelligence, blockchain,
etc.), incorporate long payback from the large investments required and a high-risk profile,
compensated by high expected returns. Legal problems, in terms of unfair competition,
violation of privacy, or conflicts between stakeholders, adapt to a complex and changing context
of reference.
