Abstract
Proper evaluation of lifestyle related to physical activity (PA) and the related energy expenditure brings important benefits to the health.
In addition to design, plan and supervise the exercise, for instructors and personal fitness trainer, it is important to know and evaluate the lifestyle and the PA performed daily or in specific contexts, such as work, in leisure or sport time.
This, together with the assessments necessary to evaluate the levels of physical fitness, brings to goals, working on the problems that could limit a healthy lifestyle, outside the training program.
The technology proposes the sensors that are able to measure the total physical activity and the various parts that compose it and which represent an important role in human health. The type of wearable sensors, to measure physical activity depends on which physical activity is practiced, the objective of measuring the characteristics of the subject to be examined and the feasibility of the proposal in terms of costs and logistics. Since physical activity can generally be described as "any bodily movement produced by the contraction of skeletal muscles that result in a substantial increase in resting energy expenditure" is reasonable to express the level of PA with measurements of energy expenditure.
