Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] In the space of thirty years, the structure of the contractual system of dependent work in Italian agriculture has changed substantially. From very localized and differentiated forms of collective protection by contractual typology, we moved on to a progressive realignment up to the signing of a first national category contract for wage earners and permanent labourers. Symmetrically, trade union organisations, at the beginning of the period significantly distant in terms of culture and lines of action, have moved towards a more mature understanding of their contractual role in keeping with a modern practice of industrial relations
