Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The study of the history of medicine offers interesting insights also for the doctors of today and for all those professionals who work in the saute, especially if behind the historical-descriptive data one looks at man, his fears, his hopes, his uncertainties. The book intends to give an ethical-anthropological interpretation of some particularly significant events for the evolution of medicine. These events have been framed metaphorically within five major dramas, each of which brings with it a conflictual situation that can result in an ethical dilemma.
