Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] In February 1941, second lieutenant Eugenio Corti asked to be sent to the Russian front to learn about the reality of communism. It is in that war experience, recounted in The Most Never Return, and in The Red Horse that the young man from Brianza discovers his vocation as a writer, thus entering Italian and international literature. The article aims to show how much natural and political geography was, therefore, according to Cortian's interpretation, a decisive component of an inhuman experiment and therefore has a significant place within his works.
