Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Among the many characteristics that Italian Sixty-eight shares with what was once a social phenomenon of global relevance, there is certainly the use of music as a universal language and vehicle of communication among young people. In light of this, the contribution analyzes the incidence of music in the formation and development of youth culture and political identity, not only as far as the Sixty-eight and its surroundings are concerned. The essay also traces the decades that from that emblematic "year of Aquarius" go up to us, in a cognitive journey that seeks to identify - thanks to the post-twentieth-century traits anticipated by the movement of the Sixty-eight - any suggestions, inputs, references to that great season of commitment that we find metabolized and returned in today's Italian society.
