Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The present work aims to analyze a fairly recent research topic, but of great relevance on a social and educational level: the condition of physical and psychological violence suffered by women with Asperger's syndrome. The initial question, from which the reflections presented here can be developed, can be summarized as follows: what are the reasons that make these women more exposed to abuses of various kinds? In order to arrive at the formulation of a possible answer, the contribution of professional figures belonging to different research fields was used. It was therefore considered appropriate to intersect elements of a psychological, pedagogical and legal nature in order to favor a more in-depth understanding of the problem in question. Particular attention has been devoted, on the one hand, to the importance of a clear diagnostic framework and to the possible difficulties that specifically affect the female gender; on the other hand to the understanding of the main aspects that characterize the management of the relational dimension in women with Asperger syndrome. With this contribution, therefore, it was intended to address, despite its conciseness, an exploratory journey within an area that is still unknown and which claims, also due to the extent to which the phenomenon is assumed, greater consideration on the scientific level.
