Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] In the judgment IFIC Holding v. Commission, the EU General Court ruled for the first time, rejecting it, on an action aimed at obtaining the annulment of some decisions with which the Commission had authorised a European company to apply restrictive measures against the appellant, in accordance with the US legislation establishing sanctions against Iran and in derogation from the so-called European "blocking regulation". This contribution examines the judgment, reflecting both on the aspects on which the Court provided important clarifications, and on some issues that, instead, it decided not to address.
