Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The present volume contains the Proceedings of the National Conference of the Italian Society of Pedagogy, entitled "The school of knowledge and ethical and social values. Cultural policies and educational practices ", held in Bari on October 18-19, 2018. The authors of the contributions are professors, researchers and PhDs from numerous Italian universities, who presented their scientific reflections on the problems affecting the national system of education and training, from preventing educational distress to managing governance, from recovering historical memory to curricular innovation. The outlined perspectives give the task of welcoming the challenge of cohabitation within a scholastic and social community that cannot fail to be democratic, intercultural, inclusive and supportive to pedagogical reflection and educational action. In this direction, the researches object of the present publication move between a theoretical-analytical approach and an evidence based approach, acting as a tool able to affect at the level of ethical options, political choices and cultural tendencies. On this basis, for the university world there are interesting and valuable opportunities for dialogue and collaboration in view of the continuous strengthening of the propulsive capacity of academic research and scientific dissemination.
