Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay reconstructs the political and scholastic events that affected the Italian secondary school between the end of the Second World War and the 1960s. It sheds light on the proposals for change and on the requests for renewal that characterized this order of studies, unfortunately destined to remain unheard, while the youth world, different in lifestyles and behaviors from previous generations, knew profound changes and the student population grew numerically .
