Abstract
This volume reports the results of a research conducted in ten hospitals in Milan and Genoa to verify the results and difficulties encountered in that synergy of purpose and action which is well expressed with the concept of "therapeutic alliance" between the various figures that have to do with the hospitalized child. The research data are read both from a sociological and a psycho-pedagogical perspective, in order to provide concrete suggestions for the work that doctors, teachers, psychologists and nurses are asked to do in collaboration with parents and volunteers.
