Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay proposes to re-read some episodes of Italian sculpture of the seventies related to the maintenance of the sculptural practice, understood as modeling or assemblage, distinct from the contemporary applications of the concept in the "enlarged field" investigated by the avant-gardes of those years. In particular, the reading model proposed by Hal Foster with respect to the idea of "neo-avant-garde", seen as a revival and updated elaboration of the "symptoms" of the historical avant-garde (abstraction, assemblage, rupture, etc.) is adopted.
