[Autom. eng. transl.] With this succinct Note, the author gives brief answers to the three questions that the Research Center for the Study of the Social Doctrine of the Church proposed as themes for reflection. In other words: 1) whether the Church's pronouncements on the subject of social doctrine have had an impact and / or fruitfulness on the history of our society; 2) as contributions of scientific knowledge the discipline of which they are experts (ie political economy) has made available for them to be used by the social doctrine of the Church; 3) what further scientific studies can the economic-political approach derive from the social doctrine of the Church.
