[Autom. eng. transl.] Early recognition of critical conditions in the development of children and young people does not mean formulating clinical diagnosis or fossil assessments, but rather creating the indispensable conditions for designing effective educational activities and devising scientifically based intervention strategies. This awareness, supported by the most recent findings on the functioning of the human brain, suggested to the executives of the FISM (Italian Federation of Kindergartens) of Parma to entrust to the Center for Studies on Disability and Marginality (CeDisMa) of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart a action research with the aim of studying, building and validating an observation and analysis tool, aimed at teacher educators, useful for intercepting difficulties and problems in preschool children.
