Abstract
The paper illustrates and discusses the issues of qualitative research applied to the study of family relationships. Analyses issues related to production data, analysis and identification of analysis unit, different levels involved in the family dynamic. Finally, an analysis of the proposed benefits of the multimethod approach is discussed
