Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The progressive construction over time of a common information base and a mapping of the territory that allows us to read the phenomenon of school dropout in an integrated and complex way constitutes a strategic driver to guide the projects of schools and of the activities carried out in collaboration between school and territory and of the actions implemented in the extracurricular context with a view to an integrated training system and an authentic educational community. Educational research can play a fundamental role by accompanying these processes and guiding the collection, analysis, interpretation and use of such data.
The contribution presents a wide-ranging project carried out as part of the collaboration between the Regional School Office for Lombardy - Territorial Area of Varese and the CeRiForm of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, which aims, in a medium-term work perspective -long term, to combat school dropout in the province of Varese.
In the phase in question (school year 2022/23), a series of coordinated actions were implemented aimed at taking a snapshot of the situation of local schools by integrating different documentary sources. The actions undertaken aimed at making a common and shared information base available to the various stakeholders, useful for better understanding the phenomenon and facilitating the interception of students in difficulty
