Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay focuses on the current processes of production and distribution of economic and political power, on the historical transformations that, from the pre-industrial age to today, have modified the internal and international spaces of politics, on the changes taking place in representative-elective democracy. In this framework, he analyzes to what extent the exercise of responsibility and the virtues of the policy-maker can face the challenges of the epochal change we are witnessing.
