Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The research presented in this chapter focuses on the relationship between parents and children with particular reference to the following topics: educational styles, parental self-efficacy, perception of stress linked to the parental role, shared parental responsibility, participation in social life. The sample consists of 2183 parents with one or more children. Regarding the dimensions mentioned above, some differences between mothers and fathers and differences due to age and number of children have been highlighted. Finally, it was highlighted that these dimensions are differently divided into three different family structures (families with parental couples, recomposed families and single-parent families).
