La relazione di coppia in età anziana: Una fonte di supporto

[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution first offers an introduction to the topic of the couple in old age, which are its main challenges and its specific development tasks, to then deepen in a specific way one of these, the support between partners. In this regard, the contribution presents in particular two studies conducted at national level with couples in which one partner suffered from an acute cardiac event. Both studies have focused on the fact that the disease that affects a partner is a matter of couple and that the support of the partner can affect the patients' ability to engage in care and therefore on the possible outcomes of the same. The data highlighted the importance of supporting couples in the challenges that accompany this phase of life. The contribution ends with the presentation of a coherent and supplementary proposal to promote the well-being of the elderly couple: the Paths of Family Enrichment.
