Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The well-known sensitivity of Archbishop GB Montini to the critical situation of the working world in the tensions induced by Milanese industrialization, has translated both into an explicit appreciation for the nature and role of free trade union associations, and in a series of suggestions and discrete interventions on the actors of industrial relations in order to lower the threshold of conflict and bring real relief to workers and their families. A critical junction concerns the relations between Montini and the ACLI.
