Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The book outlines the history of Vatican Radio, from its origin to the end of World War II. Following the threefold strand of diplomacy, propaganda, and the apostolate, it brings out, from a new perspective, the complex relationship that the Holy See maintained with totalitarianisms and democracies, and its attitude towards the Holocaust and the Semitism. Through the reconstruction of the texts of the broadcasts in the different languages, the relations of the broadcaster with the pontiffs and the Roman Curia are deepened, characterized among other things by the autonomy spaces that some important radio speaker figures were able to conquer.
