La psicologia dello sport in Lombardia: un progetto in collaborazione con l’ordine regionale degli psicologi (OPL)

[Autom. eng. transl.] This contribution aims to present a project of networking started and supported from 2011 to 2013 with the contribution of the Order of Psychologists of Lombardy (OPL), in order to create opportunities for comparison / in-depth analysis on the figure of the sports psychologist and promote multi-professional networks. In the face of various initiatives and training proposals on the subject, in recent years there has emerged the need to bring into dialogue the different approaches to intervention, and even before bringing into dialogue the professionals involved in sports psychology. In this field of intervention of Psychology (perhaps more than in others) it is appropriate to work to establish professional networks that allow individual professionals to continuously update and compare work, so valuable for daily professional practice, as well as to connect with other professions operating in sport. To this end, in 2011 a group of psychologists enrolled in the OPL formed a working group, firstly to outline a sort of "identity card" of the sports psychologist, starting from the history of this figure, 'training process, the object of study and intervention, the objectives, the tools, the typical contexts of intervention. This action required a "mapping" of the training offer of the sector in the Lombardy region (and in particular in Milan), in direct dialogue with the most authoritative and rooted public and private voices and institutions: institutional interlocutors were involved ( CONI, Federations, sports clubs, Universities) and all the professionals who work in contact with the sports psychologist (coaches, athletes, trainers, doctors, managers, etc.). Later on, ad hoc dissemination events were organized, which for the first time saw the most important exponents of Lombard Sports Psychology. The second year offered the opportunity to Lombardi colleagues to acquire new skills and tools in the field, through the organization of three specific work-shops. Action launched in parallel was the dissemination of correct information on the profile of the sports psychologist through the forum of the OPL portal and in synergy with the OPL tutoring service. The third year of work saw the development of a questionnaire on the professional identity of the sports psychologist and the realization of a conference day at the CONI in Milan, whose purpose was, in addition to scientific exchange, to offer colleagues registered (through reports or posters) the opportunity to exhibit one's work and make contact not only with other fellow psychologists, but also with other professionals involved in sport. At the end of these 3 years of Project some results have been achieved; as the establishment of a stable work group of colleagues working in the area.
