Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution is part of the volume "Generating community relations in the digital age: the challenge of Italian parishes before and after the pandemic" which presents the data of a research entitled "Social relations at the time of personal media in Italian ecclesial reality. Subjects, networks and opportunities for pastoral, community and educational intervention ". The chapter explores three central constructs within research from a psychological point of view: Identity, Generativity, Satisfaction, connecting them to different research questions. In particular, the question arises to what extent new technologies are recognized as opportunities or obstacles to generate or re-generate community ties and to what extent the sense of belonging and social identity are somehow favored or hindered by the connections that the use of new technologies allow to develop.
