Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Ecological and intercultural transitions represent some of the most urgent challenges of our time; they cannot be imposed from above but must be the result of a participatory process that involves all levels of society. Educational experiences and pedagogical planning are measured by the complexity of interpreting the transition of both the local and global dimensions together. Reflecting on the notions of citizenship and integral human formation calls for the task of making development plausible and adequate to the fullness of human fulfillment. Educating for participatory planning means promoting interventions and paths of equality and solidarity capable of removing the obstacles that prevent participation understood as inclusion in a society. In this context, democratic participation becomes a fundamental tool to ensure that political, economic and social choices are shared and supported by the community.
