Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay analyzes the cinematographic production intended for the third age public in three stages: a method premise, to clarify what we are talking about when we indicate a genre and an over-age spectator; a brief excursus into the history of Italian cinema and its classic stereotypes; and a lunge in the production formulas dedicated today to the "white-haired" public in the context of international cinema.
